The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $3,146,064 contract to provide the Next NGA West Integrated Project Office to Modular Management Group of Fort Worth, Texas, a Minority-Owned Small Business. We look forward to working with this small business contractor to design and construct our on-site office space.

Updates to status of recreation areas at Truman Lake

The staff of Truman Lake would like to share several updates on recreation areas at the lake. Thibaut Point Campground is open. Osage Bluff Campground opened Friday, July 19, 2019. All other campgrounds remain closed at this time.

Kansas City District holds change of command ceremony

In historic military tradition, command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District transferred today from Col. Douglas B. Guttormsen to Col. William C. Hannan, Jr. In a ceremony at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Mo., Hannan received the traditional guidon from Guttormsen thus assuming command of the district.

Change of command ceremony to be held July 19

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, will conduct a change of command ceremony to recognize the arrival of Col. William C. Hannan Jr. as its new commander. The ceremony will be held Friday, July 19, at 10 a.m. at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Arts, Atkins Auditorium located at 4525 Oak Street in Kansas City, Mo.
