• General Announcement - Extension of 2016-2020 Permits:  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District has issued a 4-month extension to the existing (2016-2020) commercial dredging permits for Capital Sand Co., Inc. (NWK-2011-00361), Hermann Sand & Gravel, Inc. (NWK-2011-00362), Holliday Sand & Gravel Co. (NWK-2011-00363), Con-Agg of Missouri, LLC (NWK-2011-00364), Limited Leasing Co. (MVS-2011-00177), and Jotori, Inc. (MVS-2011-00178).  The permit decision for the 2021-2025 permit cycle may result in changes to previously-authorized tonnages and locations.  The Dredgers have therefore requested to submit additional information regarding their proposed actions, and to respond to the Kansas City District’s review of the potential effects of those actions.  The extension will allow the Kansas City District to fully consider this information.   The extension of the existing permits to April 30, 2021 will allow the Kansas City District to make its final decisions with the thoroughness necessary for these important permits.  During the extension, the Dredgers must adhere to the existing permit conditions, with the exception that they may not extract more than 33 percent of the 2020 annual limits for both river segments and restricted-tonnage locations (hotspots).
