  • Notice of Availability: Seaplane Operations Policy at Wilson Lake Draft Environmental Assessment

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Kansas City District, has prepared a draft revision for the Seaplane Policy for Wilson Lake with an Environmental Assessment and a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) that are available for public review. A review was done in accordance with current seaplane policy guidance (ER/EP 1130-2-550, Chapter 11). These documents were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and existing Corps policy and regulations.

  • Tuttle Creek Lake: Water Injection Dredging Demonstration

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District (USACE) has prepared a Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as part of the Tuttle Creek Lake Water Injection Dredging Demonstration (Demonstration). This Draft FONSI is associated with an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Demonstration that was prepared to assess and document potential effects to the human and natural environment from the proposed action.

  • U.S. Hwy 136, Weldon Fork Section 14 Emergency Streambank Stabilization

    INTRODUCTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District (USACE), has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and associated Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1968, as amended, for the proposed HWY 136 Weldon Fork Bridge Section 14 Emergency Streambank Stabilization Project. The Draft EA was prepared to assess and document potential effects to the human and natural environment of the project’s Tentatively Selected Plan (TSP), as tiered from the 2017 Section 14 Emergency Streambank Protection Program Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA). The USACE has made a preliminary determination that the proposed project would not result in significant degradation to the environment and therefore supports preparation of a Draft FONSI. The Draft EA, FONSI, and supporting information are provided with issuance of this Public Notice April 28, 2025, to initiate the 30-day public review and comment period.

  • 2024-003-CW- Lower Osage River Ecosystem Restoration GI Study, Draft Report

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District (USACE-NWK), has prepared a Draft Integrated Feasibility Study Report and Environmental Assessment (EA) and associated unsigned Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1968, as amended, for the proposed restoration of degraded aquatic habitat in the Lower Osage River.

  • FY24-0050 Public Notice of Adverse Effect

    The United States Corps of Engineers (USACE), in consultation with the City of Clinton, Missouri, the Missouri State Historic Preservation Officer, and The Osage Nation, is preparing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that outlines mitigation activities for adverse impacts to two prehistoric Native American archeological sites at Harry S. Truman Lake.
