  • Off-Road Vehicle Park work day at Tuttle Creek Lake

    MANHATTAN, Kan. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Tuttle Creek Lake will partner with area off-road clubs to conduct a cleanup and trail maintenance day at the Tuttle Creek Off-Road Vehicle Park on August 12, 2017.
  • Beach closure and public health warning for Outlet Ponds at Melvern Lake

    MELVERN, Kan. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announce the existence of a blue-green algae bloom at theOutlet Campground River Pond and Outlet Swim Beach/Fish Rearing Pond downstream of Melvern Lake. These ponds are currently under a warning based on cyanobacteria/toxin results from August 3 testing conducted by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. As a result the swim beach at Outlet Swim Beach/Fish Rearing Pond is closed until further notice. All other facilities in Outlet Park and Melvern Lake remain open.
  • Special Youth Turkey Hunt scheduled for Clinton Lake

    LAWRENCE, Kan. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Clinton Lake will host a special Youth Turkey Hunt October 16 through October 22, 2017. Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017.
  • Special permit archery deer hunt scheduled for Clinton Lake

    LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Clinton Lake announce the opening of the application process for the annual Special Permit Archery Hunt at Bloomington, Rockhaven, and Woodridge Parks. Applicants will be randomly chosen and allowed to hunt is assigned, designated areas from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2017. Applications are due no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2017.
  • Contract announced for spillway bridge deck repair at Tuttle Creek Dam

    MANHATTAN, Kan. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District announced the award of a contract to Wildcat Construction Company Inc., Wichita, Kansas on June 30, 2017. The contract is for the replacement of the spillway bridge deck over the dam’s emergency spillway at the east end of Tuttle Creek Dam in Pottawatomie County, Kansas.
