• Corps announces temporary closures at Tuttle Creek

    MANHATTAN, Kan. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Tuttle Creek Lake today announced the closing of the swim beach and boat ramp at Tuttle Creek Cove Park due to flooding. All non-utility sites are closed, however, several utility sites remain available for tent camping.

    MANHATTAN, Kan. — Youth and disabled hunters have until July 30 to apply for a limited 2015 assisted deer hunt at Tuttle Creek Lake.
  • Closures at Perry Lake due to high water

    PERRY, Kan.,— Due to the heavy rainfall, Perry Lake is currently experiencing several major closures. All Corps boat ramps are currently closed due to high water. Rock Creek park remains entirely closed as water is over several of the roads. Slough Creek Campground, Longview Campground and Old Town Campground continue to experience significant closures as well.
  • Lewis and Clark expedition program scheduled at Tuttle Creek Lake

    MANNHATTAN, Kan.,— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Tuttle Creek Lake invites the public to attend the Lewis and Clark Expedition program on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 7 p.m. The program will be held at the Roadside Shelter in Tuttle Creek Cove Park. The program is free and no vehicle permits are required. All ages are invited to attend.
  • Kansas City District monitors river/tributaries after increased rainfall

    KANSAS CITY, Mo.,— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers emergency management office is monitoring the Missouri River and tributaries after the increased rainfall in the area during May and continuing into June.
