Update: Additional swimming beaches closed at Truman Lake

Published June 19, 2015

WARSAW, Mo. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Harry S. Truman Lake announces the immediate closure of additional swimming beaches on the lake due to high lake levels.

In addition to Thibaut Point Beach and Long Shoal Beach being closed, Windsor Crossing and Bucksaw beaches closed on May 30, also due to high water levels. Shawnee Bend Beach is now open. The other beaches will re-open as soon as the lake returns to a safe level. Berry Bend Beach remains closed due to elevated E. Coli levels, in addition to flooding.
