Published Oct. 16, 2019
Expiration date: 11/1/2019

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, has conducted an environmental review for a Section 408 permit. The proposed project would be to construct a buried steel renewable gas pipeline within the Critical Zone of the Unites States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) levees at the Kansas River and Soldier Creek. This pipeline will cross the Kansas River and Soldier Creek. The project location starts at Oakland Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at 1115 NE Poplar Street, Topeka, Kansas, and ends at the Southern Star gas pipeline where it crosses NE Meridian Rd, north of the city limits. The USACE has made a determination that the proposed project would not be injurious to the public, the environment, or to the federal project.  The Public Notice provided initiates the 15 day public review and comment period.
