PROJECT LOCATION: There are three separate project sites located on Missouri Department of Conservation boat accesses along the Missouri River. Miami Access in Section 5, Township 52 North, Range 21 West, city of Miami, Saline County, Missouri. Stump Island Access in Section 16, Township 51 North, Range 17 West, city of Glasgow, Howard County, Missouri. Mokane Access in Section 25, Township 45 North, Range 9 West, rural Callaway County, Missouri.
ACTIVITY: The applicant proposes to place approximately 1,150 cubic yards of fill material within waters of the United States. The applicant’s stated purpose is to remove sediment from the Miami, Stump Island, and Mokane accesses to allow public access to the Missouri River. The project would result in temporary impacts to the Missouri River, but does not propose any permanent loss of waters of the U.S.
