WARSAW, Mo. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Harry S. Truman Lake announces the immediate closure of two swimming beaches on the lake due to high lake levels.
Thibaut Point Beach and Long Shoal Beach have been closed until further notice. These beaches will re-open as soon as the lake returns to a safe level. Berry Bend Beach remains closed due to elevated E. Coli levels, in addition to flooding. Corps beaches that remain open for swimming include Shawnee Bend, Bucksaw, and Windsor Crossing.
