Outdoor open house planned for former Nebraska Ordnance Plant

Three solar arrays, including this one at the Main Treatment Plant, help power groundwater treatment at Mead, resulting in a savings of over 500,000 kilowatt hours of energy to date.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, will host an outdoor open house from 4:30-5:15 p.m. and a site bus tour will occur from 5:15 p.m. to approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, for the former Nebraska Ordnance Plant.

The open house will be at the main groundwater treatment plant in Ashland, Nebraska located at the junction of County Road 6 and County Road F.

Project personnel will be available to provide and interpret water sampling results and other site data. To learn more about the Former Nebraska Ordnance Plant, please plan on attending our spring open house. Details are provided in the attached public announcement which has been published in the local newspaper.
