The Far West is now on the RDB at RM396.6 doing repairs. The USACE survey team did a sonar survey of the area and will post an image along with any new information ASAP.

Issues or Concern: In March 2019, the levee broke at Bean Lake Locks. This has blown the bridge and road way (River Road) to our farm. We are not able to farm or hunt the land. Which has cost our family and other families several $$. The farm next to ours cannot access their home. We would like this fixed so we can have access again.

Rubbed bottom with loads. Shallow. We have been reporting this since 2012. When we started running the Mary Lynn. There has been many accidents here. IRC pull to much water from channel. Chute needs to be closed and the river structure returned to original. 3. White Wing update 26 Aug 2020 (0815) stuck at 178.4 were in sailing line and hit ground inside the preferred sailing line and buoyed area. They are going to break tow and try to get through with 2 barges (single line) at a time.

Issues or Concern: Just received another call about the location just upstream of the Cranberry Chute inlet. The river is currently eroding into the Levee Embankment just above the placed rock along the bank-line. The caller a boat pilot said he could see erosion occurring at this time. Someone might want to get eyes on this location soon. I know we have discussed this area of concern multiple times before I have cc'ed the Levee President so he is aware we are still tracking this concern.

Issues or Concern: The White Wing was n/b at mile 25.5 on 7-16-2020. From 25.5 to 26.0 they ended up having to run 60' off of the trail dike on the right descending side in order to transit with enough water under the vessel. This is a spot they we need to a have survey done ASAP. I'm unsure that a boat could even transit this area s/b with 70' wide of loads in its condition at the moment.

Said that he will be returning back on the river on Tuesday or Wednesday with 8 barge tow.

Issues or Concern: Lack of maintenance to the river structures has caused damage to the levee. Erosion is occuring both in the toe and face of the levee and causing bank erosion. Structure 435.95 seems to be causing the erosion damage. It is causing erosion of the bank and within 60 ft of the toe. Structure 436.1 and 437.3C caused Levee damage in the amount of $33,500 which landowner repaired. This was the levees 20% work in kind.
