  • Corps continues repair of rock structures along Missouri River

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District continues to make repairs through the Bank Stabilization and Navigation Project to rock structures along the Missouri River from damages caused by the 2011 flood. The district has received more $31 million of Disaster Relief Appropriations Act funds to repair the rock structures. This is in addition to more than $45 million DRAA dollars already received to repair damaged levees within the district.
  • Corps to hold joint public hearing on Jameson Island Project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District has announced plans to hold a joint public hearing with the Missouri Clean Water Commission on the Jameson Island Shallow Water Habitat Project. The hearing will be held on June 11 at the Department of Natural Resources at 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, Mo., in the LaCharrette/Nightingale Creek Conference Room beginning at 9 a.m.
  • Corps announces milestone on Bean Lake levee repairs

    The Kansas City District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has reached a milestone within the Bean Lake Levee Association and is scheduled to host an event on May 16 to recognize the achievement of restoring the levees to their 2011 pre-flood level of protection.

Anthony Hofmann, Commander and District Engineer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District addressed the members of the Missouri Clean Water Commission at their regularly scheduled meeting yesterday in Jefferson City, Mo. regarding the Jameson Island Unit Shallow Water Habitat Restoration Project.
