On Sept. 28-29, the Corps of Engineers and the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism will be constructing fish habitat. The low lake level gives us the opportunity to create spawning habitat for crappie and bass in the lake. We will be placing brush in the lake along the shoreline to create spawning habitat. Volunteers are needed to assist with anchoring trees and placing the brush in the 2-4 foot zone along the shoreline that is critical for fish habitat.
