KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City District is closely monitoring the current flood risk on the Missouri River from Rulo, Neb., to St. Louis, Mo.
Due to widespread rainfall in the Lower Missouri River Basin, the National Weather Service has forecasted several gages in our area to reach minor flood stage along the Missouri River throughout the weekend. The Kansas City District encourages those who live and work along the river to monitor the National Weather Service river forecast frequently for the most up to date information.

Rulo, Neb. – Flood stage is 17 feet; currently forecasted to crest at 19.4 feet (minor flood stage) on Sunday, March 22, 2020
St. Joseph, Mo. - Flood Stage is 17’; river is forecasted to crest at 18.7’ (minor), Monday, March 23
Waverly, Mo. (east of KC, Mo.) - Flood Stage is 20’; river is forecasted to crest at 20.3’ (minor) Tuesday, March 24
Booneville, Mo. – Flood stage is 21’; river is forecasted to crest at 21.9' (minor), Friday, March 20
Chamois, Mo. - Flood Stage is 17’; river is forecasted to crest at 21.3’ (minor), Friday, March 20
Gasconade, Mo. - Flood Stage is 22’; river is forecasted to crest at 27.9’ (minor), Friday, March 20
Hermann, Mo. - Flood Stage is 21’; river is forecasted to crest at 25.1’ (minor), Friday, March 20
Washington, Mo. - Flood Stage is 20’; river is forecasted to crest at 21.5’ (minor), Saturday, March 21
St. Charles, Mo. - Flood Stage is 25’; river is forecasted to crest at 26.9’ (minor), Saturday, March 21
