Final Record of Decision for Forbes Atlas Missile Site S-5

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has completed the Record of Decision for the Former Forbes Atlas Missile Site S-5. Site S-5 involves groundwater contamination and remedy. Record of Decision was reviewed and concurred upon by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), USACE Kansas City District and USACE Northwestern Division. It is expected that the remedy will be in place at the site by 2029. A copy of the Record of Decision is available to the public for viewing at the link below.

Final Proposed Plan Forbes Air Force Base Other HTRW Areas

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment will be holding a Public Meeting to discuss the Proposed Plan for the Forbes Other Areas Proposed Plan Site. A public meeting will be held to discuss the Proposed Plan. Please see the Public Notice linked below for additional information. USACE will accept written comments on the Proposed Plan submitted by November 10, 2022. Tyson Valley Powder Farm Proposed Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) will be holding a Public Meeting to discuss the Proposed No Action Plan for Selected Areas of Concern and Areas of Interest at the Former Tyson Valley Powder Farm.
