Pomme de Terre lake levels to be lowered to treat for zebra mussels

HERMITAGE, Mo., – In an effort to control a possible exposure of invasive zebra mussels in Pomme de Terre Lake, the U.S. Army Corps Engineers announced a plan to lower the level of the lake by three feet.

Corps seeks public comments for Manhattan Kansas Levee Study

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District has studied flood risk management and reliability improvements for the existing levee unit at Manhattan, Kansas, and is seeking review and public comment on the information presented within the Draft Feasibility Report.
