Stockton Lake Announces Temporary Boat Ramp Closures

Published Aug. 23, 2016

STOCKTON, Mo.— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Stockton Lake announce temporary boat ramp closures due to low water conditions. Cedar Ridge South Park ramp and High Point ramp is closed until low water conditions improve.

"Stockton Lake’s normal pool elevation is 867.00," informs Rich Chiles, park manager. "Currently, we are at 863.88. As a result of these low level conditions, we have closed these boat ramps to prevent damage to personal property and to ensure visitor safety."

Boaters who wish to launch may use either the Mutton Creek ramp or Master’s ramp. Users are reminded that the Campground Ramp located inside Cedar Ridge Park is reserved for campers only.
