Eagle Day scheduled for Truman Lake

WARSAW, Mo.— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Truman Lake and the Missouri Department of Conservation will host the annual Eagle Day on Saturday, January 9, at the Harry S. Truman Visitor Center.

The Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Live eagle programs will be in the theater, with showings at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Theater seating is limited, and lines can become long; please plan to come early.

Other activities include:  Children’s Activity Center (main floor), Snakes Alive (main floor), Missouri Master Naturalists Information Booth (main floor), Display of Art Projects from the Warsaw High School Art Department (upper deck), Missouri Department of Conservation Wildlife Booth (main floor), and “Where Eagles Soar” video playing throughout the day (front desk). Remember to visit the Lost Valley Fish Hatchery a few miles east of the Visitor Center between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*Inclement weather with hazardous travel conditions will cancel the event.
