REPUBLICAN CITY, Neb. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is alerting the public to potential road closure dates of the Harlan County Dam during the period of September 10, 2015 to May 14, 2016. During these dates the dam may be closed at any time.
During these closures, both lanes across Harlan County Dam may be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and one lane open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Signed detour routes will be provided during full closures. Time traffic signals will be installed on both ends of the spillway bridge during one-land closures. Lane restrictions are limited to vehicles less than 8.5 feet.
