MANNHATTAN, Kan.,— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Tuttle Creek Lake invites the public to attend the Lewis and Clark Expedition program on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 7 p.m. The program will be held at the Roadside Shelter in Tuttle Creek Cove Park. The program is free and no vehicle permits are required. All ages are invited to attend.
Steve Prockish, Park Ranger at Tuttle Creek Lake, will conduct the program. Prockish will take guests on a journey back in time as he talks about the many excitements that Lewis and Clark experienced on their expedition. How far did they travel? What dangers did they encounter? Who did they meet along the way? Find out the answer to these questions and many more. There will also be replicas of some of the instruments and maps used by Lewis and Clark on display! People are urged to bring their own lawn chairs, if available. It is predicted to be both a fun and educational evening!
