Corps offers birding program at Tuttle Creek Lake

MANHATTAN, Kan.,—The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Tuttle Creek Lake invites the public to attend “Birding with Dr. Ted Cable” July 26 at 8:00 a.m.

Dr. Ted Cable, Kansas State University Professor of Park Management and Conservation, avid birder and author, will conduct the program.  Cable will be discussing local birds of Kansas while he leads a short walk down the Blue River Trail. After the walk, he will have a book signing at Shelter #3 where he will have several of his birding and children’s books available for purchase. All are encouraged to bring a pair of binoculars and a good pair of walking shoes for the trail.

Participants should meet at shelter #3 in Outlet Park for a short walk down the Blue River Trail. The program is free, and no vehicle permits are required. All ages are invited to attend.
