KANSAS CITY, Mo.,—The Kansas City District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers along with officials at Whiteman Air Force Base are scheduled to host an Industry Day for contractors on July 23 at the AmVets Post 143 in Knob Noster, Mo., from 1 to 3 p.m.
The purpose of the event is for contractors to gain an understanding of the current and upcoming projects at Whiteman Air Force Base. A brief presentation of the current and future workload will be presented along with discussions concerning the current types of contracts being used, how to access, register, and review projects on FedBizOpps, and an opportunity to openly discuss any comments or concerns contractors have about work on Whiteman Air Force Base.
A break out session will occur in which individuals can ask questions directly to the following personnel: Whiteman base civil engineer, the Corps of Engineers contracting officer, the resident engineer, project management staff, the Kansas City area engineer, and the local Entry Authorization Letter personnel.
