Truman Lake Beaches re-open

August 22 UPDATE: With Turman Lake's level steadily returning toward normal pool, all Corps of Engineers swimming beaches on the lake will re-open August 23. These swimming beaches are Shawnee Bend, Thibaut Point, Windsor Crossing, Long Shoal, Berry Bend and Busksaw.

WARSAW, Mo.— Some swimming beaches on Harry S. Truman Lake have been closed due to rising lake levels from recent heavy rainfall.  Those beaches closed are Thibaut Point, Long Shoal, and Berry Bend.  These beaches will re-open once lake levels recede and inspection/maintenance work is complete.

Beaches that remain open at this time include Shawnee Bend, Bucksaw, and Windsor Crossing.
