The Russell County Commission has lifted the emergency burn ban ordinance. The ordinance was an effort to protect the safety of persons and property due to the extreme drought and very high fire danger this past summer. Open faced barbeque grilling and campfires are once again permitted at Wilson Lake, Kan.
