HERMITAGE, Mo.— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Pomme de Terre Lake along with the Hermitage Lions Club and the Hickory County Improvement Coalition is hosting the Fourth Annual Running River Trail 5K race at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 in The Outlet Park below Pomme de Terre Dam.
Trophies will be given for the overall male and female competitors and awards for the following male and female divisions; 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over. In addition a traveling trophy will be presented to the Hickory County School District with the greatest percentage of student body and faculty participation.
T- shirts will be given to the first 100 entrants with sizes guaranteed if entry form is received by April 9. Registration entry is $20 until race day, when it will raise to $25.
The Running River Trail is a finely rocked loop trail that was completed in 2009. The course is flat along the start of the Pomme de Terre River and continues through hilly forestland.
