KANSAS CITY, Mo.— The Kansas City District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded another contract to repair 2011 flood damage to a levee along the Missouri River.
A contract was awarded to Ideker, Inc. of St. Joseph, Mo., on Feb. 16 for approximately $888,000 to repair the Union Township Levee in Holt County, Mo.
Repairs will be made to the levee where it experienced four breaches and crown erosion.
The Kansas City District currently has 24 contract solicitations in progress. A total of six contracts have been awarded to fix seven levees in the lower Missouri River Basin.
A total of five contracts have been awarded to date in the lower Missouri River Basin to repair flood damages from 2011 flooding.
