The draft Feasibility Report for the Lower Missouri River Jefferson City L-142 General investigations Study has been released for public comment.

The purpose of the study is to identify causes and impacts of recurring flooding along the Capital View Levee and the unconstructed, but authorized, Missouri River Levee System L-142 project near Jefferson City, Missouri, in Callaway County. The study area includes the north or left bank of the Missouri River at Jefferson, City, Missouri, vicinity mile marker 142.

The report identifies a plan with federal interest, but it is not named as the selected plan due to a lack of a project implementation partner. The report will be open for public comment for 60 days. The Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers encourages the public to use this opportunity to formally provide their feedback and thoughts before the Agency Decision Milestone in March 2025.
