KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Park Service recently announced the price of the lifetime America the Beautiful Senior Pass will increase from $10 to $80 on August 28, 2017 as part of the National Park Service Centennial Act passed in 2016.

These passes are for individuals 62 years of age or older and a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

Due to this price increase, there has been a nationwide escalation of passes issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District lake project offices have a limited supply of these passes and are quickly running out. The Corps suggests contacting the local project office that sells the pass to check availability. Office locations can be found online at http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/Locations/.

Passes may be ordered online at https://store.usgs.gov/senior-pass. There is an additional $10 processing fee for online orders.
