The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District announced that the 2015 Truman Lake duck blind drawing is Saturday, Aug. 29.

KANSAS CITY, Mo.  — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District announced today that the 2015 Truman Lake duck blind drawing is Saturday, Aug. 29.

Registration is from 8:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m. and the drawing will follow.

Registrants must be at least 16 years of age to draw and must show current Migratory Bird Stamp and Duck Stamp.
