May 19 Severe Weather Updates - Friday, May 23, 2025

UPDATE AS OF 5/22/25 AT 4:00 P.M.

Long Shoal: Campground and day-use ramp/beach areas have been cleaned up, power restored, and gates will open at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Thibaut Point: B loop and boat ramp are currently open. A loop has power but still has debris that needs to be removed. It will be open at 6:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. Beach will be closed.

Berry Bend: Boat ramp and B loop are open. C loop has a powerline over the road and don’t know if or when it will be repaired. C loop and all reservations for the weekend will be canceled with full refunds.  

Visitor’s Center: Power restored and interior has been repaired. Two windows have been boarded up the yard is taped off but is safe for visitors to come inside or check out the Kaysinger lease area.
