Riverside Park Reservation Only
Beginning May 15th Riverside Park will no longer be accepting walk-in camping during the 2015 summer season. A reservation will need to be made to camp in this park.
Kanopolis Lake
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers staff at Kanopolis Lake manages the lake to provide benefits to the nation in areas of Flood Damage Reduction, Recreation, Fish and Wildlife Management, Water Supply and Water Quality Improvement. The Corps manages the 3400 acre Kanopolis Lake and an additional 11,000 acres of land around the lake open for public hunting.
Kanopolis Lake Land Management
Lands around the lake are managed by the Corps of Engineers to preserve their natural value. Land management practices such as prairie restoration, prescribed burning and tree planting help conserve soil and benefit wildlife
