  • Friends of Brush Creek park and boat ramp closed at Harry S. Truman Lake

    Warsaw, Mo. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Harry S. Truman Lake announce the closure of Friends of Brush Creek park and boat ramp due to public safety concerns associated with a failing culvert underneath the park’s entrance road. Visitors to the area are encouraged to use other nearby areas for boat launch purposes to include the City of Osceola Ramp, Crowe’s Crossing and Sac River Access. Please obey road and ramp closure gates and signage.

    Local Emergency Management Agencies are the front lines of emergency preparedness in your community. They work in close coordination with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other agencies. USACE regularly assesses conditions and risks associated with our Civil Works projects, which include 18 dams with reservoirs. Eight are in Missouri, eight are in Kansas with one each in Iowa and Nebraska.

    The waterfowl blind registration process for the 2021-2022 Missouri Waterfowl Season has been finalized for Harry S. Truman Lake. Hunters wishing to place a waterfowl hunting blind on Truman Lake may register on the Harry S. Truman Visitor Center Grounds on SATURDAY, August 28th from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. A lottery drawing for blind sites will follow the registration.

  • Boundary maintenance to begin at the Truman Lake project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the Harry S. Truman Project will soon begin boundary line maintenance work in the Henry, Benton and Hickory county areas.
