REPUBLICAN CITY, Neb.—BCI Construction USA will be performing ground penetrating radar at Harlan County Dam, Neb., which will require the closure of the road across the dam from Nov. 5-15 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The ground penetrating radar allows the contractor to locate the metal rebar inside the concrete portion of the dam. This information is necessary to plan the placement of anchors for new stoplog guides and support beams. This work is part of the first phase of rehabilitating of the spillway.
