  • Kanopolis Lake to host virtual waterfowl blind permit drawing in September

    MARQUETTE, Kan. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Kanopolis Lake announce the annual waterfowl blind permit drawing. Due to the global pandemic and safety considerations for all, this event will be a virtual application process, completely done online. The random lottery drawing will be held by Kanopolis Lake staff to determine order of site selection and permit application for 12 waterfowl blind locations. The virtual application period will run from Saturday, August 28, 2021 through Sunday, September 12, 2021. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and only one member per household are allowed in the application process. Applications can be submitted by email to Ranger Beckman at Kanopolis@usace.army.mil or mailed to Kanopolis Lake Project Office; 105 Riverside Dr; Marquette, KS 67464.

    The peak of hunting season is upon us and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District wish to help visitors prepare for their trips to Tuttle Creek Lake which offers nearly 20,000 huntable acres. Visitors are encouraged to prepare in advance and observe all regulations for our shared safety and protection of natural resources.
  • Physical permits not required for hunting equipment at Kanopolis Lake this hunting season

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Kanopolis Lake will not be issuing Hunting Equipment Permits this hunting season due to COVID-19 concerns. The Hunting Equipment Permit Program hunting policies and regulations still apply with the only change of not requiring the physical permit tag.
  • Kanopolis Lake announces annual waterfowl blind permit online drawing

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Kanopolis Lake announce the annual waterfowl blind permit drawing. The event will be different than that of previous years and will be held as an application process all done online. This procedure will help follow CDC guidelines and eliminate a crowd gathering and person to person contact. The application period will run from Saturday, August 29, 2020 through Saturday, September 12, 2020. The applications to fill out and return can be found through our website, Facebook page or directly emailed to you. The applications can be printed and mailed to our office or emailed to the below email.
  • Special permit archery hunt scheduled for Clinton Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Clinton Lake announces the opening of the application process for its annual Special Archery Hunt at Bloomington, Rockhaven and Woodridge parks to be held November 1 - December 31, 2020. Applications are due Sept. 7, 2020. This is a specially permitted, archery-only hunting event. Hunting is not usually allowed in the park areas at Clinton Lake; however, the Corps hosts this annual hunt in areas that are closed to public hunting to prevent overpopulation of deer.
