• Special Permit Archery Hunt Scheduled at Clinton Lake

    LAWRENCE, Kan.— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Clinton Lake announce the opening of the application process for the annual Special Archery Hunt at Bloomington and Rockhaven parks. Applicants will be randomly chosen and allowed to hunt in assigned, designated areas from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2016.

  • Kansas City District welcomes new commander

    In a historic military tradition, command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District transferred today from Col. Andrew D. Sexton to Col. Douglas B. Guttormsen. In a ceremony at the national World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Mo., Guttormsen received the traditional guidon from Sexton thus assuming command of the district.
