A group of 10 people amongst three agencies, USACE, Missouri Department of Conservation and Jackson County Parks and Rec are dropping brush piles into Blue Springs Lake for the first time in over 20 years. Together, these three agencies loaded and strategically placed about 80 brush piles, giving small fish a great new habitat to concentrate and hide from anglers. This both improves lake habitat and a fisherman’s record! Maps of the brush pile locations will be available in the next few weeks on our Blue Springs website and through MDC’s Mo Fishing App.
