MANHATTAN, Kan. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Tuttle Creek Lake today announced the closing of the swim beach and boat ramp at Tuttle Creek Cove Park due to flooding. All non-utility sites are closed, however, several utility sites remain available for tent camping.
Other closures include the campground and boat ramps at Stockdale.
All closed boat ramps, campgrounds and the swim beach will reopen when flooding recedes and the lake returns to a safe level.
Visitors should use caution when around the lake during this period of high water. Many obstructions are invisible under the water’s surface. Remember to file a float plan before boating and always wear the right fit and type of life jacket when on or around the water.
