PROJECT INFORMATION: The United States Corps of Engineers (USACE) is partnering with the cities of Kansas City, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, Independence, Raytown, Grandview, and Jackson County, Missouri on the Little Blue River Flood Risk Management General Investigation Study. As part of its obligations under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, USACE is now developing a Programmatic Agreement (PA) in consultation with the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office, The Osage Nation, and Miami Tribe of Oklahoma. The PA will outline how USACE will identify, evaluate, and resolve adverse effects to historic properties that may be effected by the project. USACE also invites individuals and organizations with a demonstrated interest in the undertaking, and other members of the public to participate in the PA consultation process. All requests to participate must be received no later than April 30, 2026.
