The Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, with its Pomme De Terre Lake Project Office, announces the reopening of designated swimming beaches Wheatland and Nemo, effective immediately following confirmation of safe water quality levels.

Public health and safety are the top priorities for USACE. Routine water samples taken were thoroughly tested, and results confirm that E. coli levels are well within safe, acceptable limits for public swimming and recreation.
