Eagle Days are here again. The nineteenth annual Eagle Days will be held on January 5th 2013 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Come out and enjoy a boat tour on the lake and experience a view point of the eagles in their natural setting. As a first time addition to the event, get a little closer to the eagles and come out to the live eagle program and learn more about this magnificent bird.
Boat tours will depart from all three marinas on the lake; Orleans Trail Marina, Stockton State Park Marina, and Mutton Creek Marina. You must pre-register for the boat tours by 4:00 p.m. January 4th.
Dickerson Park Zoo will be conducting eagle programs at the Ray Zumwalt Expo Center in Stockton. The program will feature two live species of eagles, a bald eagle and a golden eagle. The hour long program will begin on the hour starting at 10:00 a.m. and will continue through the day with the last program starting at 2:00p.m. No prior registration is necessary for the zoo’s eagle program.
The event is free to the public however a five dollar donation is requested at the marina’s to help cover boat fuel costs.
