Horse Trails
Horseback riding trails are open to the public at public accesses 22, 23, 24, 31, and Collins Road. The shoreline trail is approximately 15 miles in length and the boundary trail is approximately 10 miles in length. Hiking and mountain biking are allowed on the horse trail but the trails are rough and difficult, with some steep drops into creek beds. Trails are unpaved and there are neither footbridge crossings nor drinking water available. For more information or a trail brochure call the Corps of Engineers at 532-0174. Camping for horseback riders is available in Crow's Creek Park. A section of trail links the camping area to the main horse trail. To make reservations to use the campground, call the Clay County Park office at 816-407-3400.
