Recreation Opportunities

The main objective in recreation and park management at Perry Lake is to provide the visiting public with a quality recreation experience while minimizing adverse impacts on resources. We strive to achieve this by implementing the following objectives:

• Providing a qualified professional staff.
  
• Soliciting public support for recreation and park management policies.
  
• Protecting the integrity of the project in the public interest.
  
• Providing a safe and healthful environment for project visitors. 
  
• Insuring that all facilities and programs are generally accessible to people with disabilities in accordance with established Corps of Engineers of guidelines.
  
• Utilizing challenge partnership agreements whenever possible to increase shareholder participation.
  
• Implementing management measures which will increase opportunities for a quality recreation experience.
  
• Developing interpretive programs and facilities.
