Kansas Birding Festival
The Kansas Birding Festival will be held April 23-25, 2010 at Wakefield, Kan. This is a guided birding and wildlife trip you won't forget. Milford R/Cer's Open House

K-State Ahearn Scholarship Fishing Tournament
Fishing for cash and prizes while raising money for scholarships. This is a team event with teams selecting which species for which they want to fish. Teams do have the option, with an increased entry fee, to select more than one category. Species included are Bass, Walleye, Catfish, White Bass, and Crappie. Mandatory pre-meeting will be held April 30th (time and location to be determined). To be held at Milford Lake Marina located in State Park. 14th Annual RC Helicopter Fun Fly

Bluegrass & Old Tyme Music Festival
On the shores of beautiful Milford Lake, this event is hosted by the The Friends of Milford State Park, Milford Nature Center & Eagle Communications. Camping, concessions, restrooms & showers. Register early, limited camping near stage area. Bring lawn chairs! On Friday the 23rd event times are 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and on Saturaday, the 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. For more information please call the State Park at 785-238-3014.

Extreme Outdoor Water Festival & Float Your Boat
This event is held in the Milford State Park and starts off at 8:00 a.m. with the youth triathlon. So bring the kids and their bikes and get ready for a fun morning of swimming, running and biking. Following the triathlon at noon, the Float Your Boat competition begins. Make sure you have plenty of duct tape for this cardboard boat race. Between events there will be both canoe and kayak rides, pontoon rides and booths for everyone to check out. 2010 Corps Bow Hunting Drawing
The drawing will be held on Saturday, August 28th, at the Milford Project Office. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the drawing will start at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Each person wanting to draw for a permit must be present, show a valid hunting license and a photo ID. There will be 31 permits drawn. Buffalo BBQ
The Friends of Milford, Milford Nature Center & Milford State Park's annual Buffalo BBQ and Membership Drive. Menu will consist of buffalo burger, polish sausage or hot dog, baked beans, potato salad and/or chips, homemade desserts and soda. There will be door prizes, raffles and special entertainment. All proceeds benefit The Friends of Milford, Milford Nature Center, Milford State Park and will be dedicated to playground projects at the Nature Center and State Park. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 3-12 years of age and free for children under 3. Milford Lake Extreme Adventure Race
50 Miles...orienteering, approximately 30 miles biking, 15 miles running/trekking, and 5 miles kayak or canoe, ropes and other TDB. 4 Persons co-ed teams only! This is a US Adventure Race Association officially sanctioned event. Register on-line or pick up registration forms at Acorns Resort.
