The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District plans to carry out the repurpose or demolition of the Longview Farm Garage/Apartment and Powerhouse Building and the Greenhouse Managers House associated with the National Register of Historic Places-listed Longview Farm located on Corps-owned land at Longview Lake in Jackson County, Missouri. As part of its obligations under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (54 U.S.C. § 306108), the Corps has drafted a programmatic agreement in consultation with the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office and Jackson County to address the re-use or demolition of the structures. Issuance of this draft Programmatic Agreement initiates the 30-day public review and comment period.
