NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, has prepared a draft Master Plan for Wilson Lake with an Environmental Assessment and a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) that are available for public review. These documents were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and existing Corps policy and regulations.

Wilson Lake is a multi-purpose project located in Russell and Lincoln Counties, Kansas. The prior Master Plan for the project was prepared in 1984. Since that time, recreational use patterns and populations of surrounding towns have changed. In addition, the regulations guiding master plans has also changed.

The Corps is soliciting public comments on the draft Master Plan, Environmental Assessment and FONSI during a 30-day review period that opens March 31, 2021 and will close April 30, 2021. A virtual public meeting will be held on April 7, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may log into the public meeting at usace1.webex.com/meet/julie.a.radcliffe. If you can’t make the meeting, please send any comment pertaining to the Wilson Lake Master Plan revision to Wilson Lake Project Office, 4860 Outlet Blvd., Sylvan Grove, KS 67481 or email to wilson.lake@usace.army.mil.
