WARSAW, Mo. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Harry S. Truman Lake will host an open house Saturday, Oct. 14 to review and discuss water management operations and recent high-water events in the local area.
"We want to engage with the community on reservoir operations," said Colleen Roberts, Corps hydraulic engineer. "This open house provides an opportunity to ask specific questions and hear directly from the Corps how Truman Lake is operated, especially following the high rainfall events this spring."
The Corps of Engineers water management staff will host two sessions Oct. 14 at the Harry S. Truman Visitor Center in Warsaw. The sessions offered are 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. and include interactive stations and a group presentation by the Corps.
